TGFWO is a collaborative, grassroots effort to provide an opportunity for men and women who have never had a book published before to have their book idea receive serious consideration by a major publisher. The people at IVP, Forge, and Sentralized realize that there are those in the body of Christ who have a great message to share and the gifting and ability to put that message in writing but have never had the opportunity to present it to a publisher. How TGFWO Works

PHASE ONE

Applications received and evaluated

PHASE TWO

Top 15 writers’ proposals announced on September 7. A team of Sentralized Conference speakers will evaluate these proposals and choose the Final six.

PHASE THREE

At Sentralized 2012 the Final six writers will be invited to an informal reception with Forge’s Alan Hirsch, Michael Frost, Kim Hammond, Brad Brisco, and Lance Ford, along with IVP’s David Zimmerman and Andrew Bronson. Each writer will provide a 3-4 minute presentation on his or her book concept (i.e. your big idea) with the other writers and the Forge/IVP teams.

FINAL PHASE

Provided that a desired proposal is presented, IVP will make an official offer to one or more writers among the Final six.

Types of Books To Be Considered

How can God´s people give witness to his kingdom in an increasingly post-Christian

culture? How can the church recover its true mission in the face of a world in need?

Forge America exists to help birth and nurture the missional church in America and

beyond. Good books by praxis-oriented authors are a strategic part of this movement,

which is why Forge has partnered with InterVarsity Press. Books from IVP that bear

the Forge logo will be responsibly biblical and broadly evangelical, and will bear

Qualified applicants must:

• Have never had a book published before (including self published works)
• Be a registrant for the Sentralized 2012 Conference
